Address: Nämndemansvägen, 26013 Sankt Ibb
The Nämndemansgården (the tax assessor's residence), which was known earlier as Karhojagården is a genuine four-sided farmstead from the 1790s with it own willow tree alley. The farm is now the local historical society museum and was listed as a heritage site in 1976.
Five generations have run and cared for the farm, which was still being used in 1991. Now the farm is run by the Hven Historical Society and is open to the public through the summer, and you can book a visit any time the rest of the year.
The loft has interesting exhibitions of Ven's history and activities using historical flashback, photographs, documents, medical tools, shoe making tools and much more. The farm outbuildings also have exhibits describing Hven's history from different perspective.
The farm also has a well-filled antiquarian bookshop for those interested in browsing or buying older books, puzzles, magazines and much more.
Feel free to enjoy your on picnic in the well-trimmed garden, which is cultivated bio-dynamically.
